Buy New Zealand Made is an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting Kiwi-made products and services and is well recognized by its iconic Kiwi symbol.
With a focus on authenticity, quality and sustainability, the campaign seeks to strengthen the local economy and reduce the environmental impacts of imports by encouraging consumers to choose Kiwi-made goods.
As a family owned and operated business, Outpost is excited to have the backing of the trademark.
Since 2018, Outpost Buildings has been proudly owned by the Smith family- Alex and Lisa manage the business with the help of Lisa’s stepfather Greg Cox (sales manager) along with the rest of the team Corey (sales) and Andrea (accounts/administration).
Alex says enduring quality, authenticity, strength of design, attention to detail and functionality are the hallmarks of the Outpost brand. These values continue to form the culture of our team today.
“Outpost manufactures quality kitset buildings that are designed specifically for the needs of New Zealanders and the decision to source products locally is all part of our awareness of the need to be sustainable and support the local economy. Being a part of the Buy New Zealand Made campaign and having the backing of the Kiwi logo helps give our customers the immediate confidence that we are what we say we are,” says Alex.
Outpost Buildings first began in 2005 and has grown to have two factories; one in Timaru and one in Silverdale.
The name Outpost was chosen for the business because of the strong, rustic designs of the buildings that can stand up to the toughest of New Zealand conditions and can often be found in remote locations, farms and lifestyle blocks around the country.
