Wood Shed used as an Energy Shed

Nov 23, 2022

Here is one we call the Energy Shed!

This is one of our popular and versatile Wood & Tool Sheds being used as an Energy Shed. The lockable enclosed tool shed side of the building is a dry, secure space to store the customer's power inverter and batteries while the open shelter side of the shed has been used as intended for firewood.

Customer Testimonial from Chris & Ange Harris

We have built the larger wood and tool shed combo to use as an “energy shed” at our block. We are building off-grid, and we have 38kWh of batteries and the inverter sitting in the closed end, and fire wood in the open end. We’ve also put three solar panels on the roof, to supply power for the building process. We also selected this model so that if we need to add a generator later, that can sit in the open end so no issue with fumes. With very little building experience at all, we found the shed challenging but doable for four of us to erect, and then I was amazed how easy it was to relocate using the tractor to tow it. Once fully assembled, this shed is rugged and looks good too. I would definitely recommend Outpost Buildings.
