Horse owners in New Zealand are legally required to provide some kind of shelter to protect your horses from extreme elements. If your paddock lacks trees and vegetation that would provide shelter for your horses, a horse paddock shelter is the perfect addition to your paddock. Our products are built tough and super strong which also allows them to be easily relocatable.
Our horse paddock shelters are ideal for small or large horses or storing farm equipment. You can add timber gates and rails to any design to make holding stalls.

Horse Shelter with Central Tack Room - 7.2 metres wide, 3.5 metres deep and 2.9 metres high. This paddock is ideal for horses that struggle to get along as it features a tack room in between the two stalls.

Pioneer Barn with Stall & Tack Shed - 9 metres wide, 7.8 metres deep and 4.5 metres high. The Pioneer Barn features a classic centre pitch roof. This large barn has a main area ideal for vehicle or float parking with a width of 4.8 metres and length of 9 metres. Clearspan panels in the roof let in natural light along with a window on the back wall.
Custom Horse Stables
Our modular designs allow you to pick and choose your combination of stalls, tack sheds and covered yards to suit your needs. The solid timber stall doors are easy to use and we have an option for upgrading to extra strong metal framed doors.

Outpost Buildings’ Hunter stables are some of the toughest, most durable options in horse shelters available in New Zealand. Our Hunter stables are recognisable for their iconic mono-pitched roof. This allows for a taller entry way, perfect for larger horses. They also feature our renowned sturdy timber framing, durable iron roof, and a design tailored to better suit all sizes of horse.
Hunter Large Paddock Shelter - 7.2 metres wide, 3.5 metres deep and 2.9 metres high. Features a mono pitch design and a high front entry, great for large horses.
Hunter Double Stable - 7.2 metres wide, 3.5 metres deep and 2.9 metres high. The high roof on the front of these stables and spacious stalls are great for large horses. This stable features strong and secure metal framed front and dividing walls. There is an option for adding anti-weave gates.
Hunter Shelter with Tack Shed - 7.2 metres wide, 3.5 metres deep and 2.9 metres high.
Hunter Small Paddock Shelter - 3.6 metres wide, 3.5 metres deep and 2.9 metres high. These smaller paddock shelters are ideal for grooming or feeding your horse.
Hunter Stable with Tack Shed - 3.5 metres deep, 9.6 metres wide and 2.9 metres high. This is a custom hunter style horse stable with 2 spacious stalls and a double tack shed. Customisations are available for this stable.

Settler Stable
Our Settler Stables don’t sacrifice on aesthetics. They feature a classic centre-pitch roof which provides plenty of headspace for your horses to rear and play while keeping rain and leaves off the roof. Not only that, their one key function is their strength, holding snow loads during the winter months. Settler stables are great for larger horses and are low maintenance.
Settler Stable with Centre Tack Shed - 7.2 metres wide, 3.5 metres deep and 3.5 metres high. This settler horse stable positions the tack shed in between the two stalls, giving a bit of distance between your horses.
Settler Stable with Double Tack Shed - 7.2 metres wide, 3.5 metres deep and 3.5 metres high.
Settler 2 Bay Stable with Tack Shed - 9.6 metres wide, 3.5 metres deep and 3.5 metres high. These large horse stables are ideal for bigger horses.
Enclosed Settler Stable with 2 Stalls and Tack Shed - 9.6 metres wide, 3.5 metres deep and 3.5 metres high. Two generous sized stalls with barn style wooden windows for ventilation and barn style front stall doors. Clear Topglass panels at the rear let in natural light. We have custom options available for this stable design.

Loafing Sheds and Run In Sheds
Loafing sheds, also known as run-in-sheds or paddock shelters, protect your horses equipment and feed from harsh weather and extreme temperatures. They often feature an open front design with three walls, a typically sloped roof and an open side for your horse to come and go as they please for shelter. Our kitset loafing horse sheds are customisable. You can add timber gates and rails to turn them into holding stalls.

The high quality German rubber tiles are extremely durable. 5mm of the 24mm thickness is a studded base providing maximum cushioning for your equine. This reduces the amount of bedding needed. They mean less mess and less time spent on general cleaning.
